Mr. Posmantier graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.A. in Theater Arts. He then obtained a juris doctorate degree from Rutgers University School of Law where he was a member of the Rutgers Law Journal.

Following a legal research clerkship with the Superior Court of Connecticut, since 1998, he has been an attorney at Fogarty Cohen Selby & Nemiroff LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Mr. Posmantier served as a co-chairperson for the Family Law Section of the Fairfield County Bar Association between September 2003 and June 2006. He lectures on family law practice issues at continuing professional education courses. And, he currently serves as a court appointed civil and family special master, assisting attorneys and litigants with obtaining amicable resolutions of difficult conflicts.

Mr. Posmantier concentrates his practice in family law (with a focus on difficult contested custody matters), civil and commercial litigation.
